Top 3 Slow Fashion Brands Loved by the Stars

Who says an eco-conscious wardrobe can’t be chic? We’ve rounded up the top celebrity-style brands that embrace luxury and sustainability to make you look – and feel – like royalty.

The glitz and glam of the red carpet have always been a source of inspiration for the global fashion community. However, environmental pressure has triggered a new era in the industry, with celebs at the forefront championing greener labels. Let’s discover three sustainable fashion brands most loved by the A-listers.

Stella’s pioneering portfolio

When it comes to sustainability, this designer does not compromise on quality and style. Stella McCartney, who has dressed the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna, is one of the most iconic eco-luxury brands known for her anti-fur and leather-free garments. The label embraces new technologies to push the boundaries of on-trend and conscious collections, leveraging low-impact materials such as ECONYL® regenerated nylon, KOBA® Fur Free Fur, and Coreva™ biodegradable stretched denim. “The fashion industry works with the same ten materials,” said McCartney in an interview, “and we are here to question that. Things have got to change.”[1]

High-end conservation by Hearst

Meghan Markle and Lady Gaga have recently been spotted in the up-and-coming designer brand of Chloe’s very own creative director, Gabriela Hearst. The designer’s take on “honest luxury” reflects her commitment to sustainability through carbon-neutral runway shows, plastic-free packaging, and the elimination of raw material extraction from her collections. Hearst received public accolade when named Financial Times’ 25 most influential women of 2021 – and she’s just getting started.[2]

Havre Studio x conscious tailoring

If you love model and designer Emily Ratajkowski’s street style, there is a high chance she was flaunting Havre Studio. This Copenhagen-based fashion house creates 100% recycled, repurposed and preloved garments. Vintage clothes are first sourced from Mexico, where lead designer Madeleine Frandsen re-tailors men’s suits and transforms them into women’s luxury pieces. With limited production and one-of-a-kind collections, the brand believes in a zero-waste philosophy and advocates more conscious consumption. A-listers Kendall Jenner and Marta Lozano are among the brand’s biggest fans, with many of its most-loved pieces already sold out this season.
