Mammut
MAMMUT aims to reduce the carbon footprint of its outdoor textile production process. For this reason, the brand began collecting used ropes for their «Close the Loop» project, as a climbing rope is used for about five years and then thrown away. Mammut and the climate NGO Protect Our Winters Switzerland (POW) successfully completed the joint pilot project, giving climbing ropes a new life. The ropes were delivered to Aquafil, to be regenerated into ECONYL® yarn, and Mammut designers developed a T-shirt made of 100% ECONYL® regenerated nylon.
