VOGUE – Fashion For Good. The first museum on sustainability is in Amsterdam
By Giusy De Ceglia
The very first museum of sustainable fashion in the world opened its doors last week in Amsterdam – and has definitely been making a “Splash” ever since, just like the name of its main theme for the next three months. It’s called Fashion For Good and it stands for a unique experience that stimulates visitors to reflect, become aware and engage.
“For the consumer facing experience, our challenge was to bring something tangible to life that could touch people’s heart and generate changes in their behaviour, by conveying facts and figures through “wow moments” – such as the amazing projections we have here, the innovation lounge with yarn installations in Econyl regenerated nylon made of waste collected in landfills and oceans by Italian manufacturer Aquafil and the bracelets visitors get at the entrance.
