Trend Hunter – Sustainable Luxury Bags
Stella McCartney’s Bags are Made with Aquafil’s 100% Regenerated Nylon
By Laura McQuarrie
As a leader in sustainable luxury, Stella McCartney created a Falabella GO bag collection for the Fall 2017 season using Aquafil’s regenerated ECONYL® yarn, which is comprised of ocean waste. As such, it is noted that “every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® produced saves [70,000] barrels of crude oil by avoiding extraction.” As well as giving new life to used fishing nets, the material makes it possible for the waste to be infinitely regenerated.
