24 HOURS – “Sports-resistant” watches

Manufacturing approach, choice of materials and compliance with strict quality standards represent key requirements in the creation of a sports watch. It is no coincidence that this sector has been, and continues to be, an extraordinary testing ground for the development of technology, which high-end watchmaking continually draws from, even in its most elegant expressions.
There are watches designed for a specific function, modern heirs to professional models invented by Rolex in the 1950s; then there are other watches that, while preferring functions or styles that immediately associate them with a specific sporting environment, lend themselves to mirroring the wearer’s lifestyle rather than anything else.
BREITLING – Superocean Hérotage II Chronograph 44 Outerknown
The watch has a 44mm steel case with black DLC coating, unidirectional rotating bezel made of ceramic and, an absolute novelty, blue NATO strap made from ECONYL yarn obtained from nylon waste recovered from the oceans across the world.
