The Austrian footwear makers Dachstein are now offering even more innovations as they present their spring and summer collection for 2020, featuring knit-collection shoes and two new hiking models with all-new lasts and exclusively developed Vibram® soles. There’s also a new, technically advanced multifunctional shoe. New in Dachstein’s Urban Outdoor collection: Some footwear will now integrate regenerated ECONYL®s – in the summer, too.
Sustainability is a big issue. Dachstein is currently the only footwear manufacturer to integrate ECONYL® regenerated nylon made from recycled fishing nets, having used it for other shoes in the summer collection, and in Urban Active – making it the most sustainably produced shoe so far.
ECONYL® fibres are made of 100% regenerated nylon from waste products such as old fishing nets to secure a healthy circular economy. The uppers of Urban Active are constructed with a mixture of ECONYL® nylon and recycled microfibres. The interior mesh lining is also made of recycled material, as is a part of the Vibram® rubber undersole. The Urban Active models belong to the urban leisure side of the Dachstein Urban Outdoor collection.
