The Journe story began with three female entrepreneurs who had a desire to create timeless swimwear that made women feel beautiful and empowered, was environmentally friendly and showcased the natural beauty of Australia. Journe customised exclusive print swimwear is manufactured on the Gold Coast from luxury Italian fabric woven from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon fibre coming from fishnets and other nylon waste.

The Journe Team design and manufacture their own range; their color palette influenced by the Australian landscape and the rich colors of flora and bird life. They are building a range of exclusive prints and offer a customized service to clients looking for unique pieces. While a relatively new business, they have attracted customers in Canada and the USA as well as Australia.

The Journe team are grateful for the incredible blessings they experience living in Australia. Many women across the globe are not as fortunate and every day brings a struggle to survive. For this reason, Journe is committed to supporting women entrepreneurs in developing countries. 5% of the revenue from every swimwear item sold goes to support Opportunity International Australia’s “women4women” program.

Opportunity International is a non-profit organisation that tackles global poverty by providing small business loans, savings, insurance and training to more than 14 million people in developing nations working their way out of poverty. 95% of Opportunity International’s loans go to women”.
