NEW SIREN CARPET COLLECTION MADE WITH ECONYL® STAYCLEAN YARN BY CAVALIER BREMWORTH
With a big launch event taking place on the 3rd of August in Auckland, New Zealand, carpet manufacturer Cavalier Bremworth launched a new collection made with ECONYL® StayClean regenerated yarn. The name of the collection is Siren and takes inspiration from fishing nets recovered from the seas. These nets are one of the waste materials that enter the ECONYL® Regeneration System and, together with spent carpets, plastic components, textile scraps and fishing nets from the fish farming industry, are regenerated into first quality nylon yarn for beautiful carpets.
ECONYL® StayClean yarn, launched at beginning of this year has a unique quality: it allows the manufacturing of stain-free carpets that don’t come at the expense of the environment. In fact, compared to virgin nylon coming from raw fossil material, ECONYL® has a reduction of more than 50% of CO2 equivalent emissions thanks to the use of waste as a raw material instead of caprolactam, a derivative of oil. ECONYL® StayClean fiber is an intrinsically stain-resistant yarn that carries unique polymer characteristics that last the entire lifespan of the carpet, guaranteeing an easy water-only treatment, light and color fastness as well as UV resistance.
