Yesterday night, the Observer Ethical Awards was held in magnificent One Marylebone, formally Holy Trinity Church in London and the catwalk of VIP and stars was on the ECONYL® green carpet, participating for first year to this incredible event.

The awards have been running for nine years now and are one of the greatest celebration of environmental and social justice projects.

The ECONYL® brand, besides supplying the green carpet for the awards, was sponsor with Eco-Age for the sustainable fashion category. Five wonderful projects were nominated and had the chance to display their creations landing on the ECONYL® green carpet made in collaboration with ege®.

The winning project in this category is Beyond Skin, a brand of luxury ethical vegan shoes made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Beyond Skin has been awarded on stage by Livia Firth, founder of the Green Carpet Challenge and Giulio Bonazzi, President and CEO of Aquafil.

Many other exciting projects have been awarded in the various categories and the whole night was a great success.
