H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection 2018 pays homage to the Arts and Crafts movement in Sweden and features the new sustainable materials like recycled silver and ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated fiber from fishnets and other nylon waste. The Conscious Exclusive collection launches in selected H&M stores around the world, as well as online at hm.com, on 19 April 2018.

The ECONYL® yarn has been woven into a delicate sheer fabric with dramatic embroidery featured on the beautiful white lace wedding dress or made into a romantic dark grey-blue lace long-sleeved mini-dress.

A custom-made model of the lace dress, made with ECONYL® yarn, was created by H&M for actress Amanda Seyfried at the première of the movie Gringo.

“This H&M dress shows that sustainability can be so elegant. I love its cut, the details, and it’s even better that the material is made from regenerated fishnets and other nylon waste” said Seyfried.

The collection’s release is the beginning of a long-awaited collaboration between two industry leaders with a shared vision for a more sustainable future.

Cecilia Brännsten, Acting Environmental Sustainability Manager at H&M, commented, “We’re proud to feature ECONYL® in this year’s Conscious Exclusive collection. At H&M, we’re constantly on the lookout for innovative materials and processes that can make our products more sustainable. The Conscious Exclusive collection has always been an important testing ground for us as it allows us to try out the latest sustainable fabrics on a smaller scale. On numerous occasions, we have incorporated them into our regular collections.
