FASHINNOVATION, New York

On February 13th, Aquafil Chairman and CEO, Giulio Bonazzi was at FASHINNOVATION, the largest fashion tech event during New York Fashion Week. He spoke about sustainability and circular economy in fashion with Natasha Berg, founding chair of Oceanic Global.

FASHINNOVATION is a platform where fashion and technology connect with the mission to inspire and share knowledge in the fashion, entrepreneurship and technology sectors,
The all-day red carpet event took place during NYFW at one of the city’s premiere venues, Tribeca Rooftop, which featured panels, live performances, fashion installations, innovative displays, and more.
The second edition attracted over 350 guests as well as hundreds of viewers via “live stream”.

Giulio Bonazzi explained Aquafil’s history and its mission, giving evidence to the ECONYL® regeneration system that is giving a sustainable solution to fashion and interior designers, since 2011.
Using ECONYL® regenerated nylon also reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material generated from oil.
Leaders in fashion including ADIDAS, Levi Strauss & Co., H&M, Stella McCartney, Breitling, Mara Hoffman, Gucci and Volcom have all incorporated ECONYL® into their material sourcing strategy in recent years.
