HIGHSNOBIETY – WANT Les Essentiels Debuts New Bags Made From Upcycled Ocean Plastic
By Renz Ofiaza
Luxury accessories purveyor WANT Les Essentiels unveils its latest offerings this summer with its new “Recycled Nylon” collection, made entirely from recycled plastic waste.
With an emphasis on sustainability, the travel accessories infuses performance sport and elevated flair to create a new standard for eco-friendly design. Consisting of three styles, a Rogue Utility backpack, Fillmore waist pack and Bryce crossbody bag, the pieces are composed of ECONYL®, a lightweight recycled nylon developed in Italy and fabricated using post-consumer and pre-consumer materials such as carpets, fabrics, fishnets and other plastic waste.
It’s worth noting that for every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® created, 70,000 barrels of crude oil are saved and 57,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions are avoided from dispersing throughout the planet.
