A perfect example is the 9.81 N.AIR.G 2.0 collection in which the mesh fabric upper uses certified ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which has the same qualities as virgin nylon but offers a huge advantage in terms of sustainability.
In fact, in the production of the 9.81 N.AIR.G 2.0 GTX® with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, 1.25 kg of nylon waste was used for every ten meters of fabric, reducing emissions by up to 87% and reducing gross energy requirements by up to 44% compared to using the same meters of fabric made with virgin nylon yarn. The upper has a seamless PU toe cap for impact protection and body inserts for added stability. GORE-TEX® SURROUND® technology provides exceptional waterproof protection and breathability, while the Michelin® Free Cross outsole with its deep and aggressive lugs provides outstanding grip and enhanced ground control.
