The ECONYL®-Regeneration System is the first step in the textile industry’s sustainable supply chain. The Nylon-6 in abandoned fishing nets, prodcution residues and remnants from landfills is transformed into new, high-quality yarn in the ECONYL® depolymerization plant to get re-commercialized. With the ECONYL® brand the Aquafil Group is an important part of circular economy in the textile industry. At the Panorama Berlin the speakers concluded, that companies need to work highly transparent – especially reagarding their sustainable efforts – because the younger generations do not trust brands, they trust their own experiences. Too many requirements, missing trust and over-marketing is only distancing the consumer.
