North American rug manufacturer and importer Delos has joined forces with nylon 6 manufacturer Aquafil to add the ECONYL® StayClean nylon to its product set.

One of Delos’ first collections to feature ECONYL® StayClean is a private label pattern named Piran for retailer Room & Board.

Thanks to the use of ECONYL® regenerated nylon, Piran rugs look good while doing good. For the first time, stain-free carpets don’t have to come at the expense of the environment because the ECONYL® StayClean yarn is a stain resistant fiber that doesn’t need any topical treatment while ensuring ultimate stain protection, softness, durability and holding dye well.

This collection is perfect for high-traffic areas, and the graphic pattern is designed with a nod to the discarded fishing nets used to make the ECONYL® yarn. It is available in cement and charcoal.

Delos will offer 143 standard colors in ECONYL® yarn and will dye-to-match on as-needed basis. The rugs are machine-tufted and hand-finished in Georgia.

The company also plans to court designers with custom order options for rugs and carpets made of ECONYL® yarn, praising its versatility, durability and sustainability features.

“We are excited about this new partnership and the ability to tuft beautiful carpets in an array of saturated colors that are lightfast, colorfast, UV-resistant and soft and luxurious under foot,” said Leah Phillips, co-owner, Delos. “We are thrilled to be able to offer designers maximum creative flexibility all while serving our planet. It is truly the best of both worlds.”
