On November 15, 2017 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, thirteen women were awarded at the eleventh Women of the Future Awards. Among them was Helen Newcombe, founder of Davy J, a company that makes swimwear with our ECONYL® regenerated yarn coming from waste material like fishing nets and old carpets. Helen Newcomb won the entrepreneur award for her work founding Davi J.
Women of the Future Program is a platform to unlock a culture of kindness and collaboration among leaders and to commemorate and honor women in various fields for the fantastic work they’ve done.
We are thrilled to see Helen Newcombe on the stage and delighted to be partnering with Davi J in the great work they do to inspire more women like Helen Newcombe to change the world of fashion toward more sustainable practices and production.
A huge shout out to @ECONYL who have been the core part of the journey and whose partnership & innovation makes it all happen & to @PositiveLuxury @GCC_ECOAGE @RSA_SW @theRSAorg @escthecity @mattaustinphoto @AnnaTurns @DevonLife @ManorMagazine et al for your support along the way
