Right now, the REGENERATION 64 hours nonstop design competition based on the principles of Living Building protocol is taking place. The three teams have been locked in the Centrale di Fies for 3 days now, and this will be their last day to come up with a project of sustainable re-qualification of an existing public building that was revealed only Wednesday night when these young professionals gathered together to participate in this marathon. Carpet tiles from Interface’s Net-Works™ collection, made with our ECONYL® regenerated yarn, will be part of all the proposals for the re-qualification project. The chosen building is an old bus station of Arco (TN) that you can see in the pictures below.

Yesterday the three teams – yellow, blue and green – shared some thoughts about their motivations to participate in the 2nd annual competition with the organizer of the event, Marco Design Studio.

Below are some of the stories of the young architects and designers participating as well as pictures of their first days locked in the beautiful location of Centrale di Fies.
