On September 2014, LAUE (Los Angeles Underwater Explorer) team organized another clean up session in the Infidel wreck, 45 meters deep, at the east end of Catalina Island off Southern California. The project to clean this location started two years ago and is still in progress. The wreck starts to look much better after all these cleaning trips.

LAUE team is partner of the Healthy Seas initiative whose aim is to clean the oceans and seas of marine litter such as derelict fishnets responsible for the needless death of marine animals. The nets will be then regenerated thanks to the ECONYL® Regeneration system, to be transformed into yarn for new textile products.

The video of the cleaning was shot by Cyrille R. also using a drone and the images are really incredible.
