Aquafil’s  ECONYL® Regeneration System has been nominated along with three other companies in the “Ressourceneffizienz” (resource efficiency) category for the prestigious Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis.

The jury recognized Aquafil‘s efforts towards sustainability across the entire supply chain, particularly the recovery of waste material to create regenerated Nylon 6 products through the ECONYL® Regeneration System.

The winner will be announced during a gala on November 28 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The award is endorsed by the German Federal Government, local and business associations as well as numerous NGOs, and is designed as a livestreamed gala night with around 1,200 invited guest and 120 members of national and international media.

The German Sustainability Award (GSA) is one of the most prestigious prizes of its kind in Europe. It was established in 2008 to encourage the acceptance of social and ecological responsibility and to identify role models in this area.
