This new video by WSPA explains all we need to know about the dangers of fishing nets, but it also fulfill another important task, to give visibility to many inspirational solutions already taking place throughout the world to tackle the problem of ghost nets. These projects can be replicated or extended around the world with great results.

We are proud to be mentioned in the video as Aquafil, inside the “Net-Works” initiative created by Interface together with ZSL and Aquafil.

With this initiative, the fishing nets collected by fishing communities in the Philippines are cleaned and regenerated by Aquafil through the ECONYL® Regeneration System. This system, allows the regeneration of the nylon inside the nets into new ECONYL® yarn used in the beautiful carpet collection “Net-Effect” by Interface.
